I am sure all the ladies out there already know what i mean by Shopping Mania. I think all women have a shopping mania in them somewhere, we were just born with it, i guess. wikipedia says "Mania, the presence of which is a criterion for certain psychiatric diagnoses, is a state of abnormally elevated or irritable mood, arousal, and/or energy levels. In a sense, it is the opposite of depression."
I think its exactly how i feel about shopping and i am sure a lot of you feel the same way, i hope. Men on the contrary, cannot spend more than half an hour to shop. While, we like to take our own sweet time to choose the best product with the best affordable price and they just get the first product they see regardless of the price, quality and so on. So women are better than men when it comes to shopping...:-) I am not trying to be feminist but it is true.
I usually shop in target, when it comes to cosmetics and make up, there are a lot of good brands For instance elf, Revlon, L'Oreal, NYC,(not in order of preference) etc. Walmart is also a store that i like to shop for makeup because i don't think its a good idea to spend too much on makeup as it keeps changing and new products keep coming out, oh well i just don't like spending much on makeup.
People have this idea that women wear makeup to attract the opposite sex, well according to me, it is completely untrue. I think makeup is something that boosts up confidence in women and makes you feel good inside and there is nothing wrong with that. When you look in the mirror you should like what your looking at and if you don't you have a problem there and that may affect your career, personal life, and so on. That doesnt mean that makeup is the solution for everything but of course it can be added to your advantage. Well there is the spiritual side to everything of course, on which i will talk about in my next blog.
When it comes to makeup, my current favorite foundation is the revlon photo ready foundation, i think its great on normal to dry skin and has a medium to full coverage. A lot of people say that it is too glittery but i don't feel so, If you have really dry skin i would recommend you apply a little bit of your favorite moisturizing face cream along with the foundation. In eye shadows i did buy the coastal scents palatte but unfortunately i was a little disappointed with the pigmentation. Although I did read through all the positive reviews before buying it, i still don't understand what every one is raving about so much because i didn't find it that great( I even tried it with the urban decay primer potion).
The eyebrow powder and wax kit from NYC is really good since, i have black eyebrows i got the brown one. I believe that the cheapest eyebrow kits are the best and most indians have the habit of using eyebrow pencil on their eyebrows which makes it look very obvious and too intense. The best way to do your eyebrows is by using brow powder and wax because it makes your eyebrows look fuller and natural at the same time.
